just got my bike back today and my local dealership tells me my speedometer needs to be replaced, the gears are stripped, works sometimes but mostly just sits at 0. they tell me a new one will cost 300 dollars canadian( roughly 175 u.s.) from suzuki and will take a few weeks to get it. I'm not in a big hurry since ive been riding all season anyways without knowing how fast i'm going. but if anyone knows of a place online where i might save a few bucks on one, or if anyone is parting a bike out, and has a used one for sale. or if anybody even has any ideas on a replacement from another model bike, any thoughts are appreciated. it would be nice to know how fast i'm going when i pass the nice police officer with a radar gun.
oh yeah, the bike is a 2001 but i'm sure any year savage will fit.
